    Using Market replay feature only if charts are open?

    Hi,

    Is it possible to use Market replay without having the charts opened all day?

    Hello Kennard,

    Yes, this is possible. If you have 'Record for market replay' enabled (Control Center-->Tools-->Options-->Data-tab), you will record Market Replay data for real-time data you receive in any NinjaTrader window. You can have a Market Analyzer window opened and insert the instruments you like to record. As long as you receive real-time data, it will be recorded.

    Please note that you can download Market Replay data in NinjaTrader 7 as well. More information can be found at the link below.

      Hi Jason,

      Thank you for prompt reply.

      I enabled Market replay recorder - tools-options-data-record for market replay.
      Then I opened NT7 -file-connect-market replay connection and choosed dates from 03 feb to 04 feb.
      Opened new chart and pressed play button.Clock is counting seconds but chart is not moving.

      Please, could you let me know whether i missed or skipped some step?

        Hello Jan,

        Can you please check what session template you have selected in the data series menu of the chart. Could it be excluding the current time? Price bars are built as per the session times of the session template you are using.

        If it reflects <Use instrument settings>, please go to Control Center-->Tools-->Instrument Manager, highight the instrument in question and click Edit. You can now view what session template is used.

        Subsequently go to Control Center-->Tools-->Session Manager. You can now see what times are used by the session template. You can modify session templates to your liking or create brand new ones. More information can be found at the link below.


        If you select the 'Default 24/7' session template in the Data Series menu, it does not exclude time and you should receive data if present.

        If the issue remains, please right click in the Market Replay control window and select 'Available Data'. Check ifyou have Market Replay data available for the dates and time you replay.
