Indicator Error on Installing ver 6.1.0.6

    Indicator Error on Installing ver 6.1.0.6

    Hello Ninja Team,
    I have downloaded and installed the latest version 6.1.0.6
    I have an error in my log which states

    "5/11/2007 6:34:33 PM Default Failed to restore indicator 'NinjaTrader.Indicator.MACDScalp'. Most likely (a) the implementation changed or (b) one or more properties have been renamed or removed or (c) the custom assembly which implements this indicator no longer is there."

    I went into the Files - Utilities - Remove NinjaScript Assembly
    and an Error Message window appeared stating

    "Remove Failed. You have Custom NinjaScript Files on your PC that have programming errors. These errors must be resolved before removing a NinjaSdipt assembly"

    The MACDscalp indicator is no longer available in the indicator list and all my charts with this indicator originally on them are now removed


    Could you please detail , how best I can resolve this problem , so I can use this indicator again please , and be able to use the Utilities tool in Ninja

    Hi Michael !

    In ControlCenter go to menu -> Tools -> Edit NinjaScript, select an indicator, and open it, and press F5 to build the custom assembly.

    You most probably will get some errors. Are you able to resolve these errors ?

    If not, please post a screenshot of the errors you get in the bottom of the editor. Make sure you widen the dialog a bit, so i can see as much from the error message(s) as possible.

      These are the two lines appearing at the bottom of the editor


      Metadata file 'C:\Documents and Settings\Michael\My Documents\bin\NinjaTrader.Core.dll' could not be found 0 0

      Metadata file 'C:\Documents and Settings\Michael\My Documents\bin\WilsonORMapper.dll' could not be found 0 0


      Ninja Trader is in stalled in
      C\Documents and Settings\Michael\My Documents \NinjaTrader 6

      Is this the infomation you require

        Hi Christian,
        Both the NinjaTrader.Core.dll and the WilsonORMapper.dll are located at;

        C\Documents and Settings\Michael\My Documents \NinjaTrader6\Bin

          You installed NT at the wrong location. Windows programs should not be installed at <my documents> but in <program files>.

          Please try this:
          - uninstall NT6
          - reinstall NT6 and make sure you DO NOT change the install directory to <my documents>

            Helo Dierk,
            Attached is a picture of the program installation path.
            An Installation Error Message appeared number 2356.
            I uninstalled the NINja program and re booted my computer before the install.
            Any help appreciated

                  I apolagize for my ignorance , but what dos this mean? What should I be looking for or what should I be doing differently , How do I become the ADMIN

                    As you are on XP, Win2000 or Vista your user account may or may not have admin privileges as you install NT. You need to find out and make sure you do have admin privileges. Please use the help function on your windows system.

                      Hi Dierk,
                      In the Control Panel , under, User Accounts , it states that my account , Michael , is the Computer Administrator.
                      Where as the other two accounts there are Limited accounts

                      So i will assume my account has Admin creditation.

                          Hi Dierk,
                          I uninstaaled Ninjatrader , re booted computer , went to the Ninja web site and re down loaded Ninja agian to try and replicate the error,
                          This did not happen, Installation was complete. The installation has cretaed two NinjaTrader6 folders
                          One address being C\Program Files\Ninjatrader6
                          The other being
                          C\Docs and Settings\Michael\My Documents\Ninjatrader6

                          Same as before, I have attached two screen shots of the folders under esch of thee folders

                          All help appreciated
