Incorrect values for ZC on Interactive Brokers

Whenever I trade ZC on Interactive Brokers, the values for the prices and the values for the PnL after the trade are completely wrong.

I have a trade where it says the price is from 7.2775 to 7.2475 and my Profit was $1.50.

Is this a known issue? Is there a way to correct this so my PnL is correct?

    thanks,

    Steve

    Hello Steve,

    Thank you for your post.

This sounds like the result of Interactive Brokers’ pricing convention & the ZC’s instrument settings for ‘Point Value’.

You can adjust this point value setting on the “Def” tab for this instrument. Go to Tools > Instrument Manager > and then highlight & click the “Edit” button for ZC. You will want to adjust this value upwards to magnify the P&L calculation to bring it inline with the Interactive Brokers’ connection.

Please let me know if this does not resolve the issue.

      Thanks Chip.

The problem is that if I change any values, it affects my Zen-fire values. Zen-fire reports everything properly, it's Interactive Brokers that is incorrect.

Is there a way to modify just the Interactive Broker values?

        Hello stevent,

The only way would be to impart some mathematical operation into the symbol mapping for the specific broker. Unfortunately this is not currently supported in NinjaTrader.

Do you know what the problem is? It's a pretty glaring problem, has this been reported previously? It renders all of my PnL completely wrong because it's not calculating it properly for IB.

            Hello stevent,

This has been reported previously. The issue is that it is not currently not possible to manipulate the way Interactive Brokers’ data comes into the platform.

I have logged this issue with our Development Department so they can research it further.
