    Charting and Instrument Manager Question

After hours I like to look at Stockcharts w the Kinetick Feed. It works fine, but would like to know if I can reduce the work I am doing to get the charts on the screen.

Currently I have futures contracts in my default list.

I notice that there is a list of sp500 stocks also.

If I create a chart for AA (for instance) pulling it from the SP500 list. All good.

Now let's say I want t look at another SP500 stock. What happens is, when I click on AA to change it, my default list (futures) come up.

I'd like to know if when I am researching stocks, if there is a way for me to have the SP500 list come up so I can choose another and not have to go all the way back to instrument manager to select another stock to make a chart.

Is there a way I suppose to work with the SP500 list (which is already created by NINJA) instead of my default list when I am looking at stocks?

    Thanks!

    Hello kmpc1,

    Thank you for your post.

What I would suggest is to create a Market Analyzer window and then add the entire SP500 list to this screen. You can add this list by right clicking on the Market Analyzer--> select "Add Instrument list--> "SP500"

Click here for more information on the Market Analyzer

After you have these instruments added, you can "Link" the Market Analyzer and the Chart together to where when you click on an Instrument in the Market Analyzer, it will automatically switch your chart to this data series.

You can link a chart to any other window that supports linking such as another chart or a SuperDOM window. When multiple windows are linked, any change of Instrument in one window will automatically update the instrument in the other windows.
    • Click the "L" button in the upper right hand corner of your chart
    • Select a color
    • Click the "L" button in the upper right hand corer of the window you wish to link to the chart
    • Select the same color

Click here for more information on window linking

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.
