Can NT do this I assume:?

I would suspect this would have to be programmed, but here is what I am looking for:

Enter in a position manually (for now):
    Trail stop of 5 points.
Once in the money 5 points, the trailing stop becomes 3 points.
Once in the money 10 points, the trailing stop becomes 2 points.

Something along those lines and those figures are just an example, but would be able to adjust thoses if needed.

    TIA!

    Hi Stok,

    Thank you for your post.

This would be possible with an incremental three-step Auto-Trail strategy.

Using your example you would be:

    Step 1: Stop Loss = 5, Frequency = 1, Profit Trigger = 1
    Step 2: Stop Loss = 3, Frequency = 1, Profit Trigger = 5
    Step 3: Stop Loss = 1, Frequence = 1, Profit Trigger = 10

Based on the incremental nature of the Profit Triggers we are reducing the size of the stop loss offset at particular points in the trade as it goes in our favor, and for more information please see the following link:

Thanks, that is helpful link. So, looks like I have to put in a profit target and split that up in 3 targets to make it work?

        Hi Stok,

Not necessarily, you can attach a multi-step Auto-Trail to an individual ATM target, but you can also attach the same stop strategy to multiple targets if you are placing your exits, either stop loss or profit targets at differing levels within an individual ATM strategy.

Ok, basically I don't want to put in a profit target....I let the trail take me out, but if I need to, that's fine (put it way away). So, you are saying I can attached a multi-stop step order to ONE target?

            Stok,

Yes, that is correct, and since the Stop Strategy such as Auto-Trail pertains to the Stop-Loss order then you can leave a value '0' in the profit target to not submit one, and if you use that Auto-Trail defined initially on a 1 target strategy you would see the stop loss order moved at those profit trigger levels during the course of the ATM strategy.
