    Broken Charts

    Hello,

    I have a 100 range chart apearing broken.

    I have repaired db

    I have increased in format data series the time legth.

    Passed the daily data from a friend.


    Any suggestions ?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

    Please answer the following questions so I may further assist:
    • What version of NinjaTrader do you currently have installed which can be found under Help-->About.
    • What data provider are you connecting to within NinjaTrader?
    • Are you showing as connected in the lower left hand corner of the Control Center?
    • Are you receiving data within the Orders tab of the Control Center?
    • Are there any error messages in the Log tab of the Control Center?
    • When you right mouse click within your chart are you able to Reload historical data or is the option grayed out?
    • What instrument and expiry month are you attempting to load?

    I look forward to assisting you further with this issue.

      thank you for your reply!

      1. version is : 6.5.1000.19 (multibroker live)
      2. gain
      3. yes connected & green color. I am connected, I can give orders
      but the range chart is broken some data are lost.
      4. yes.
      5. No.
      6. yes there is this option. Also I did format data series 15 days back but the problem remains.
      7. it is eur/usd .
      But I have to note that I have install the ninja trader to my desk top and also to my laptop and I think that the broken point is when I shut down the pc and opened the laptop.

        Please confirm you have historical data enabled with the steps I have provided below.
        • Disconnect
        • Tools
        • Account Connections
        • Select your connection
        • Change
        • Next
        • Historical Data-->Enable "Use NinjaTrader servers"
        • Next
        • Next
        • Finish
        • Reconnect
        • RIght mouse click within your chart and select Reload historical data

        Please let me know if the issue persists after this procedure.

              Now I have a new problem, I want to make a new chart
              (from control panel - new chart e.t.c.).
              and the ninja is sticking (freezing) I can't push any button
              and I have to close the programm from task managment.
              what can I do?

                Please send a note to Support [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com with "ATTN: Chris" in the subject line.

                In the message, please include the following:
                1.) A link to this forum thread.
                2.) Your most current trace and log files.

                You will find the file here: My Documents > NinjaTrader 6.5 > Trace > trace.YYYYMMDD.txt

                Log file will be located by going to Documents->NinjaTrader 6.5->Log->log.YYYYMMDD.txt

                  "broken" charrts again...

                  Dear Chris,

                  Suddenly (when everythning worked perfect until yesterday night)
                  when I start the ninja today morning I have a "broken" charts.
                  It stoped at 21:02(gmt+2) and started from the time I opened
                  the pc today (8:26 gmt +2).
                  I tried to follow again your advice but the option "reload historical
                  data is disabled " (right click at the chart).
                  Any suggestions?

                    Dear Chris, something more,
                    Again when I closed the pc before 2 hours and open now the chart is interrupted ...
                    and there was missing about 2 hours..

                      Can you please tell me what data provider you are connecting to and the order you are connecting. Also please tell me what instrument is not displayed correctly and what it says in the lower right hand corner of the Control Center.

                        data provider is gain
                        the problem is in eu & gu too.
                        (I don't use other instruments..)
                        the box use ninja servers is enabled.
                        In the lower right says " connected-gain" & also "Connected- mb Trading"
                        and the ninja trader works ok, ( I can give orders ..)
                        The only problem is with charts.
                        Also the same problem I have at my laptop when also I have install
                        the ninja.

                          If the option to "Reload all historical data" is greyed out the most common reason is that a firewall, antivirus or other protection software on your PC or on the network your computer is on is preventing NinjaTrader from accessing our license servers.

                          Please disable any firewalls, also anti-virus or other protection software you may have running and close all other applications you may have running on your PC at this time.

                            yes, the option to "Reload all historical data" is greyed!
                            I disabled temporary the firewall and there is the same problem!
                            And when I close and reconnect I have again missing historical data!
                            Also I closed other applications also and the problem remains..

                              Are you possibly behind a corporate firewall. Also if you are connecting thru a router please connect directly to your modem and let me know if the issue persists.
