    Task Bar Tab

    When several charts are open and they are listed in a single tab on the task bar for some reason several of the chart titles do not show on the list...just a blank space, only after I click on the "blank" space to open the chart does the name finally appear.

    See attached pic.

    Thank you for your post.

    When you select one of these ‘blank’ items, does the chart name appear?

    If so, it may have to do with the capacity of the video card – not properly refresh/repaint this toolbar feature.

    You may want to toggle the hardware accelerator (in video settings) on/off to see if this corrects the issue.

    If it is a matter of capacity of the installed video card, then perhaps upgrading would cure the issue.

      Desk Troll,

      This is a "quirk" I have been dealing with for quite some time. My video card is more than adequate to handle drawing charts in NT, and as you have described, the name loads as soon as I select one of the empty boxes, or click on the associated chart. I have been living with it and experience no adverse effects and my guess is that we are not alone.

      A minor problem, IMHO.

        Chip, my video cards aren't even close to being maxed out on their capability so I'm positive that is not the issue.

        BigAAPL, I was thinking the same. I never had the issue in 6.5 but for as long as I can remember had the same problem in all NT 7 versions except the first beta.

          Regarding this particular issue it is not a feature of the video card settings, but it is a limitation, and it is something that will persist based on that present limitation.

            Hi Ryan,

            Thanks for responding, I always wondered if I should delete the workspace and start over...glad to know I won't have to go thru that.

            Thanks again and still very glad I own a lifetime license.

              This problem happens fairly frequently when first starting NinjaTrader (or when opening a different workspace) when there are say half-a-dozen charts or so, and I can assure you that the only relation to video boards is that you can't see the problem without one.
