NT 6.5 and NT 7 cannot start after installing Microsoft.Net framework 4

    NT 6.5 and NT 7 cannot start after installing Microsoft.Net framework 4

    Hi
    I am unable to start NT 6.5 and NT 7 after I updated from Microsoft.Net 3.5 to 4.
    Window Vista service pack1 is unable to debug the problem. Please advise how to overcome the problem.

    1. Remove Microsoft.Net 4 and run with Microsoft.Net 3.5
    Problem still exist.

    2. Re-installed NT7 and NT7 works.

    3. Re-installed NT6.5 and NT6.5 still unable to run.
    Error msg: Ninjatrader application has stop working

    Please advise.

      Use Vista SP2

      Hello
      I have the same setup. NT7 works fine with Vista SP2 installed along with Visual Basic Express 2010 and .NET 4. The MS auto updater does not offer SP2 for installation until everything that comes before it is installed. I had to install all updates for MS Office 2010 to get to Vista SP2 even though my working MS Office is 2003.

        Since my NT 7 is running I will use it as it is for the moment and upgrade Vista & .Net4 later.

        Just wondering why NT6.5 is failing. I just remembered I did updating of Vista as well.
        Hope to get NT6.5 running to recover my charts.
        I hope someone can help me to get NT6.5 running again.

          Please send a note to support at ninjatrader dot com explaining the exact issue with 6.5 and include any error message(s) as well.
