Custom Columns
I was wondering if I can create a custom column that takes a percentage of an already established column. For example, lets say I wanted to know what percentage of average volume that has already transpired (volume/average volume)...can I set this up?
Thanks!Tags: None

Hello Dortch3,
This is only possible with custom programming in NinjaScript. In your custom script you access indicator values and not necessarily market analyzer columns. You can add any indicator to the market analyzer.
Please see here to get started with custom indicator development in NinjaTrader.
One of our community members posted here when they were developing something similar. You may be able to find some useful snippets from this thread:

Hi trader1512,
You can change the output of NetChange to use points instead of percentage. To do so:
- Right click in your Market Analyzer and select 'Columns'
- In the Columns menu, select NetChange from the list on the lower left side of the menu.
- Next, on the right side of the menu, change the 'Unit' property to 'Points'.
- Finally, click OK to apply your change and exit the Columns menu.
