Instrument Is Not Supported By Repository

    Hello,

I am importing some 1-minute data for Crude Oil (CL).

All of my data imports fine, except I cannot import any contracts older than 08-08.

When I try to import the contracts CL 08-08/CL 07-08/CL 06-08 etc. I receive the following
    error message:

"Instrument is not supported by repository"

Any ideas on what I can do?

    Thanks,
    Tim

    Hi Tim,

    Thank you for your note.

NinjaTrader as it stands currently doesn't have the ability to create places for that data to be saved. To overcome this limitation:
1.) Shut down NinjaTrader and roll your PC's date back to 2008.

2.) Restart NinjaTrader and add the CL contracts to your default instrument list by following these steps: http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...ment_lists.htm

3.) Shut down NinjaTrader again and re-set the PC's clock.

At that point the data will be imported and you should be all set.

I'm having this problem trying to import a correctly formatted text file called 24-05-2011-ES 06-11.Last into NT 7.0.1000.3 which has ES 06-11 in the default instrument list

I get an error message saying "Instrument is not supported by repository"

        Could you advise please.

        Thanks

            Hi Kyle

I have upgraded to version 7.0.1000.6 and tried to import the file again, but the problem is still there.

              Hello,

Please check the file name you are trying to import and remove the date. The correct format should be:

              ES 06-11.Last.txt
