Hi,

I have a group I want to show NinjaTrader to and am installing a trial copy on one of their machines. I know under some circumstances you get most of the functionality of the full copy (like I have on my machine in my office) but not all.

I don't need a live feed but it would be helpful to have a delayed one or access to historical data for back testing and be able to download market replay data to give them an idea of the various features.

Is there anything I need to do to be able to show them the strategy development process including back testing/optimization/market replay?

When using the Free Edition License you will get most of the functionality of the Live License version.

Regarding data, NinjaTrader 7 can connect to the following feeds for Daily data, however not delayed intraday data. These data feeds can be used to provide Daily data for using the Strategy Analyzer and Optimization features.

• Kinetick End of Day (Stocks, Forex, Futures, Indexes)
• Google (Stocks)
• Yahoo (Stocks)

Also, with NinjaTrader 7, you can download previous day Market Replay Data from our servers for free and test an automated strategy or trading method using Market Replay.

This can be done from the Control Center -> File -> Utilities -> Download Replay Data.

Hi (again),

I have connected to Kinetick but can't seem to download any data nor does the DOM show any data.

My goal is to show this group how the development process works including backtesting. I am used to using my paid copy and so have not used a trial copy in years (obviously, I don't want to connect to my live brokerage account).

I have added the continuous symbol for the ES and have tried both that and the June ES to no avail. Any thoughts on what I am doing incorrectly?

Ensure that your chart or Strategy Analyzer are set to Daily.
In the chart:

• Use the interval drop down menu in the upper left corner of the chart and select 'Daily'

Alternatively:

• Right click in your chart -> Data Series
• Set the 'Type' field to 'Daily'
• Press 'OK'

In the Strategy Analyzer, under the 'Data Series' section, set the 'Type' field to 'Daily.
