    Alerts in indicators

I want to create an alert associated with an indicator, by example when RSI=75 or RSI = -75 I want an alert with sound.
If I am going to use this alert frecuently
Can I change the RSI code and introduce changes in a copy of the original RSI and then the alert works each time that I use this second RSI with the right changes?
Wich changes I should do in the code of an indicator, by example RSI for creating an alert with the indicator?
Is better and easyer to use the market analyzer?
    Thank you.

    Hello alovi,

The market analyzer is good for this type of alert because you can create it without custom programming, it will apply to all instruments in the market analyzer, and play sound.

Alerts and indicators are defined in the right click > Columns screen. First add the standard RSI to the market analyzer and then define an alert condition when value >= 75. Help for working with MA colums is available here:

I have created a new column with RSI in the market analyzer and is RSI 200 and in the graph I have it too but the value that I see of RSI 200 in the new column and the value of the RSI that I have in the chart is not the same.
what mean # of bars to look back?
      In this case is 200?

Yes, you'll want to be sure you're matching bars back on MA and chart - at least enough to fully calculate the indicator > 200.

Most common reason there is a discrepancy between chart and MA values is due to the session template applied. Check this on the chart with the Right Click > Data Series screen; on the Market Analyzer in the Right Click > Properties screen.

If I am going to use an alert very often, can I create a template where I can save my alerts and I use it when I need them or when I put off my computer I loss my alerts?

            Hi alovi,

You could create a template of the Market Analyzer and the alerts it holds, but not the alerts themselves. To save a Market Analyzer template:
            • Right click in the Market Analyzer
            • Select Templates > Save As
            • Give the template a name and click Save.

You can then access the template and the alerts therein by:
            • Right click in the Market Analyzer.
            • Select Templates > Load Template.
            • Select the template you saved and click Open.
