Program Bug - Filter By Account

Hey guys-

Came across a bug you can probably fix easily with the next release.

This involves filtering executions by account.

Say you have two accounts that are similar at first but vary at the end, such as:
MyFXAccount
MyFXAccountFOO

If you choose to filter executions by "MyFXAccount", executions from both MyFXAccount and MyFXAccountFOO will show up.

If you choose to filter executions by "MyFXAccountFOO", only executions from MyFXAccountFOO will show up.

In other words, the filter logic needs to be exact, and not "like" the account selected.

Thank you for your post.

I'm not encountering the same issue on my end when testing with two accounts named as you specified. If you're remembering to click 'Generate' between each filtering change, please create two new simulation accounts and check to see if you're able to recreate the issue.

I did the same thing with two different sets of accounts.

I tried:
SimGOLD
SimGOLDBeta

and
SimFX
SimFXBeta

Same issue -

PS I never used "MyFXAccountFOO"

Are you using NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.4 or another version?

If you are using .4, please provide me with more detailed instructions as I must be missing a step if you're seeing this result each time you test.

Yes, .4

Not sure what else to tell you - I can get the thing to repeat each time with the account names provided to you.

Connections are the same for both accounts.

Doesn't matter what instrument involved (it seems). The SimGOLD/SimGOLDBeta both use GC, but the SimFX and SimFXBeta have a mix of FX contracts.

Would you be willing to rename your database (which holds all accounts) and try to recreate again? Unfortunately, I see no such results when using the steps you've already provided.

Give me the procedure; I'm doing my weekly backup right now and I'll give it a shot after.

Hi cgeorgan,

Thanks for giving this a try:

• Shutdown NinjaTrader.
• Open the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > DB folder.
• Right click on NinjaTrader.sdf and select "Rename." *
• Rename the file 'OLDNinjaTrader.sdf'.
• Finally, restart NinjaTrader.
