Control Center Screen Order question

Whenever I connect to my broker-provided data connection, the Control Screen opens with my live account number (showing in the orders tab). Is there a way to set this to open only on the sim101 (as a default)?

I only want to be able to place orders in the superDOM and I'm weary of accidentally clicking something in the Control Screen, as unlikely as that might be.

Thanks for the forum post.

I will check with my development team to see if there is a way to not have this happen. I would guess that your account name starts with a number or a letter that comes before S in Sim101 and therefor it is loaded alphabetically. However I will check on this.

If numbers come before "S," then your guess is correct. Please let me know if there's any way around this. Thank you.

Thanks for your patience.

This would be the case in NinjaTrader. To make sure you have simulation account selected you will want to go to Control Center->File->Global Simulation mode to turn on the safety and make sure all trades go to the Sim101 account.

How do I trade live from the Control Center?

- Global Simulation Mode is unchecked.
- Live account is selected in the DOM.

But I am unable to scroll to desired price in the DOM and must use the Buy and Sell buttons in the Control Center.

That's fine, but I don't know how to change the account to Live. I see no dropdown or option for doing so.

I'm glad I didn't profit this morning because I thought I was trading live, then realized I wasn't.

Thank you for your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader support forum!

You can disable the feature which automatically centers the DOM, preventing you from scrolling, by right clicking in the DOM and un-checking the 'Auto Center' feature.

In the Control Center's Orders tab, you'll find the Account drop-down menu on the far right side of the tab.

Sure enough, I had that window sized so as to perfectly hide the Account drop-down.

No wonder I couldn't figure out how to switch it.
