W7 SP1. Could you please explain

I have W7 x64

I havent used NT7 for a while. Tried to run it today but it kept crashing. I uninstalled and tried to run latest version and the installer pointed me to Step 2 of the installation guide.

when I read it I am not sure I understand. Does this mean NT7 cannot run on W7 SP1. Shall I premanently uninstall SP1 ? Is there plans to fix it? What would happen in future - the NT user will never be able to install updates for the OS ?

Thanks for the note.

Any version of NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.4 and above will work on Windows 7 SP 1. However third party indicators also need to be upgraded as they are also affected by the windows SP1 change and needed to be reinstalled. Therefor this means you need to follow the instructions and uninstall SP1 so you can remove the third party indicators then install the latest version of NinjaTrader and re upgrade to SP1. Or you can do a full clean uninstall and reinstall of NinjaTrader. Which would mean uninstalling NinjaTrader and deleting the My Documents->NinjaTrader 7 folder to delete everything and start fresh.
