    connecting problems with 7....5 version

    hi, i've reinstalled ninja 2 times and still have the same problem, i can't connect...

    the message i get is: please check your account connection parameters and your internet connection...

    already done that and i got nothing... just to se if the problem was the internet. i'd reinstalled NT 7.0.0.0.4, and no problem at all...

    help please!!!!

    Same here, installed it yesterday evening and can't connect. Tried a couple of times yesterday and again this morning, it doesn't work. What's more, my workspace takes more than a minute to load, whereas it took 10-15 seconds with the earlier version (7.0.1000.1).

      even worst than i thought

      i have the same problem with 2 laptops (one new) and my desk computer!!!

      there must be something in new ninja's code!!!

        Error message:

        CQG Data Feed: The value of the property 'type' cannot be parsed. The error is: Could not load type 'CQG.Trader.DataAccess.DataServer.IInstrumentParse rFactory' from assembly 'CQG.Trader.DataAccess'. (C:\Program File(LoginFailed)

          Hello,

          Thanks for the forum post.

          This means that you did not get a good install of the CQG adapter and you need to do an uninstall and reinstall of NinjaTrader to update all the files correctly to allow you to connect.

          Please uninstall NinjaTrader 7 via Start->Control Panel->Programs->Uninstall NinjaTrader 7.
          ** This will not delete any of your settings or data.

          Then please re download and install NinjaTrader you should now be able to connect.

              This then points to the need for NT to publish an MD5 hash for the file, so that we can check and be sure that we have an undamaged file. I have more that once had to go through this. I just happen to be a geek, so when a first installation is flaky, I always download a new version of the installation file before I reinstall, but I would rather just be sure that I have a correct file in the first place.

                still doesn't work

                Hey Brett, in my case it still doesn't work...

                here is the log I get from NT... as you can see i´m having a problem to connect with NT data server 64.202.118.179/31654

                i can change to nt 7.4 and i have no problem at all to connect, but i simply can't do it with nt 7.5 and this is in my 2 computers!!!

                hope you can help me...

                  In my case it's even worse, just tried to install version 4 but I can't because it says" unable to install because a newer version is already installed". I do not want to remove Ninja because I have a highly customised workspace that is very time-consuming to reconfigure.

                  What do I do now?

                      This is a seperate error, most likely this is a demo user account and the account has expired.

                      If this is not a demo account please send me a note to support at ninjatrader dot com so I can further assist with your login issue.

                      Laocoon,

                      There should be no need to install .4. You need to simply do a reinstall of .5 to be able to connect. However in both cases taking the following steps is needed to remove to allow the reinstall of NinjaTrader. This does not delete any of your settings.

                      Please uninstall NinjaTrader 7 via Start->Control Panel->Programs->Uninstall NinjaTrader 7.
                      ** This will not delete any of your settings or data.

                      Then you can choose to install .4 (Not recommended) or .5(Recommended).

                          Thanks Brett & Koganam, I did what you both suggested but it doesn't work.
                          I uninstalled and reinstalled and I even deleted and recreated the account connection. No result.
