Ninjatrader + ESignal Feed Issue (Forex data)

Hello,

I've searched trough the forum but wasn't able to find solution to my problem:

I'm easily connected to ESignal data feed (thnx developers), but i have problem
with how Ninjatrader interprets data from ESignal data feed. It looks like prices
get rounded to specific precision on the charts. First, i was thinking the issue
might be in the settings, but i used IB feed and got correct results.

For better understanding the problem please look attached screenshots:
This is same period for same instrument by different data feed connection.

This issue exists on all time periods, but best vision is on the timeframe of 1 minute.
Also in other charting programs, same ESignal data feed for same instrument works
correctly.

vladdyslav, thanks for the kind words and welcome to our forums here at NinjaTrader. What pip setting are you using here under Tools > Options > Data? Have you tried adjusting this to TenthPip for full resolution.

Bertrand, Thank you for quick response.

While i was searching i found this topic
http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/f...ad.php?t=24501 and tried all possible settings.

Screenshots in previous post has 'Pip' as the pip setting.
On other (HalfPip / TenthPip) i get zero prices on 90% of the ticks (onBarUpdate() events) and
still invalid graphs.

Please see attached screenshot with TenthPip is set.

You might then need to change the used mapping to use eSignal broker specified data so you would not use the GTIS composite quote seen - http://kb.esignalcentral.com/display...73104810714722

The eSignal mappings used could be set in NT's Instrument Manager for the master symbols (Tools > Instrument Manager).

Bertrand, could you please advice where these mappings could be set
in the NT's Instrument Manager. I tried to edit instruments and create new
but there's nothing about mapping available in this dialog.

Please see the Instrument setting dialog screenshot in my first post of
the thread.

In the master instrument setting shown in your 3rd screenshot of the first post, please go to the 'Misc' section to edit the mappings, after a change of those > restart NT fresh please and then retest.

Changing the mapping of Instruments from GTIS data to FOREX.com data
supplied by ESignal feed did the fix, thanks Bertrand, but the updates now
is much more rare to the prices bars, which i think is more like disadvantage.
May be it could be a good idea to correctly support GTIS data also in future.

You are very welcome - thanks for reporting back here - I feel this is just the difference of various feeds in the world of FX spot trading - would the GTIS data you see in eSignal directly be different than what NT7 gives you for the same map?

I rechecked everything on ESignal, and i wasn't using GTIS data there. GTIS data looks exactly same as it looks on NT. My apologizes about previous post.
