IB Forex problem (looking for workaround)

Hi;
I am using IB as my data source and broker for FX. Currently there is an issue with their FX history server, stopping data to be loaded into the charts.

I have just signed up for a trial account with IQFeed to get me over this and noticed that the prices are 1 - 2 pips different than quoted from IB. Now I am wondering can I configure NT to use IQFeed to get the intraday history data, but have the live data stream coming from IB?

Yes this is possible by setting your IB connection in the connection wizard to use other data servers for historical data.

• Control Center > Tools > Account Connections
• Select IB from the list on the Left > Change > Next > Next
• Under Historical Data > Check "Disabled, I will use another connection for historical data"
• Next > next > Finish
• Now you can connect to IB then IQ Feed

In this scenario I guess "save chart data as historical" should be unchecked?

And in that case does it reload the daily data automatically every day from IQ Feed?

Yes, please disable 'Save chart data as historical' since IQFeed supports historical data.

Yes, historical daily data is loaded from IQFeed whenever you have a NinjaTrader window opened that requests historical daily data.
