Kinetick data and SIM

After encountering unreliable backtests with NT and data from IB I am testing out different things.

How can I run a strategy on SIM on Kinetick EOD data?

Connecting only to Kinetick EOD and enabling the strategy I get this error:
Kinetick – End Of Day (Free), Order 'NT-00010' can't be submitted: Instrument type 'Currency' is not supported by any provider connected. affected Order: Sell 1 Stop @ 1,0561

naxo79, are you trying this in the charts or Strategy Analyzer here? This is likely coming as error since you don't actually get realtime data to drive the simulator with this connection used.

Ok, thanks - please try in the Strategy Analyzer then...you would not have realtime data with the free eod Kinetick, thus you can't drive any simuator with it.

I rephrase the question:

How can I papertrade a strategy on Kinetick EOD data?

You cannot unfortunately, as there's no realtime data supplied to drive your simulator for executions - add a realtime subscription at www.kinetick.com and you could execute on the simulator then. Of course backtesting is possible as historical data (end of day) is supplied.

Now I first connected to Kinetick and then IB.
Then enabled the strategy.

But giving me the error:
Kinetick – End Of Day (Free), Order not accepted since market data is not supported by the connectivity provider. affected Order: Buy 1 Limit @ 0,7904

If I first connect to IB and then Kinetick it seems it would work during market hours since the error is:
There is no market data available to drive the simulation engine. affected Order: Buy 1 Limit @ 0,7904

But the problem is that it then relies on IB's data?
For this test I only trade using the daily bars and I want them from Kinetick.

This splitting up of data will not work, since the data will always come from the first connected provider and both would be able to offer daily bars and realtime data. For backtesting off market hours simply use the Strategy Analzyer then.

Please subscribe then to Kinetick FX realtime data as well, so all your data needs can be fullfilled with its high quality data.
