Error import protected assembly

If I export an indicator as 'protected compiled assembly' then try to import it back again, I get this error

I don't know where to look. There's nothing in the logs. Can you give me a clue?

Hi bubblegum,

Most likely your source files use the same names as the assembly. You have to delete the source files first, using Tools > Edit NinjaScript > Indicator. You can export your source files prior to this if you would like to preserve somewhere else.

I have the same problem. When I export my indicator as a protected assembly, i get a warning that the SMA indicator needs to be included, but it never gets included into the zip file.
When i try to import the indicator on another machine where the source code is not present i get the same error as the previous user described

Hello BankRobber,

After exporting an assembly, the original indicator you have exported will still be in NinjaTrader. This is causing the duplicate names error.

To prevent this when trying to import it, you will need to remove the original indicator before trying to import it again.

To remove the indicator:
Click Tools > Edit NinjaScript > Indicator
Select the indicator in question > click the 'Delete' button

After doing this attempt to import the indicator assembly file again.

I get the same error even when i try to import on a Different Computer where the source code was never present

If the exported file in question was exported as an assembly, please check that there is not an assembly with that name installed.
To do this:

• Click > File > Utilities > Remove NinjaScript Assembly...

If the assembly name is not listed here may I have a copy of the exported assembly file to try and reproduce this error? You will find exported NinjaScripts in the following location:

• (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 7\bin\Custom\ExportNinjaScript\

Please let me know if the assembly is not listed in the Remove NinjaScript Assembly.
