Long term chart

I would like to use charting for FX in longer intervals like 240, 480 or 720min. FX starts Monday 7am AEST but first 240min bar will end at 10am AND THEN plots in 240min intervals. How to adjust settings that all bars are equal, especially 720min bars (first 720min bar finishes at 2.00pm my time).

Can anyone help?

Can you please tell me exactly which instrument and session template you are using?

You can check the session template by right clicking on the chart--> select "Data Series"

Hello Matthew,
I think I got it. I have been using 24/7 session template. After your response I changed it to 24/5 - it was the same and by changing to "Use Instrument Setting" option it came up good.

Good to hear you solved the issue by setting 'Session template' to <Use Instrument Settings>.

The session template determines at what times data is loaded in the chart for minute and tick based data.

The Session Manager allows you to view the settings of all present session templates, but also allows you to configure them to your liking or create brand new ones as well. More information regarding the Session Manager can be found at the following link.

Is there a way to have a session template that include two or three sessions.

For example from 9:30am to 4:15pm and 18:00pm to 9:30am

Hi blar58,

It's possible, but you'd need to use the backup/restore wizards to distribute the custom session templates.

Session templates are part of the database, so the entire data base would need to be backed up/restored.

Chart Templates being backed up would include all other templates as well.

I would not like to send all my database to the customers. What they would need would be only the Chart Templates and the Session Templates that I have created
for them...

If I back up only Templates would that do the trick

Hi blar58,

In that case, the session templates would need to be recreated manually.

Chart Templates files can be transferred. You'll find templates in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Templates > Chart folder.

Just add the files to the same folder on any other PC and restart NinjaTrader to transfer only the chart templates.
