    Error loading data IB Connect: No security definition has been found

    Having a tough time .... trying to load workspace. I get data on two charts 48 and 720 min but not all the others 1m, 3m and 12m.

    Message: Error on loading chart data for '6E 09-11 Globex': IB Connect: Error in requesting historical data from IB: No security definition has been found for the request (200)

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

    Please reset your instruments with the steps I have provided below:
    • Disconnect
    • Tools
    • Options
    • Data tab
    • Reset Instruments
    • Restart NinjaTrader
    • Remove ES from your Default instrument list and add it back in

    Please let me know if the issue persists after this procedure.

      Hi Christopher,

      I had the same problem and tried the steps above, however it didn´t eliminate the problem. It gives me the same error message on all charts.

      Disconnect (i disconnect NT from interactive brokers)
      after reseting instruments I restart NT.
      reconnect to interactive.
      I have deleted eurusd and added to the instrument list again.
      error message still appears when I try to open a chart.

            I have the same problem.
            Done everything you said.
            I have 15 min& 60 min ES charts with data no problem.
            Got an error trying to load daily chart.

              Please answer the following questions so I may further assist:
              • What version of NinjaTrader do you currently have installed which can be found under Help-->About.
              • What version of TWS do you currently have installed?
              • When you right mouse click within your chart are you able to Reload historical data or is the option grayed out?
              • What instrument and expiry month are you attempting to load?

              Also please tell me what error message you receive when attempting to load your Daily chart.

                it's NOT grey out
                In fact, I can reload 365 days, but when I change to more then 700 days I receive an error: IB Connect: Error in requesting historical data from IB: No security definition has been found for the request (200)

                  With the current version of NinjaTrader, it is critical that you use TWS version 917.

                  Please uninstall your existing version via the Windows Control Panel, and then install 917 via the following link:

                  http://www.ninjatrader.com/ninjatrad...tall_917_8.exe

                  Once TWS 917 has been installed, please ensure that the configuration in our Connection Guide for TWS has been completed.

                  The following link will take you to a page that details the steps required for creating a connection to Interactive Brokers and specific connection configuration information.

                  If the issue persists please connect to the Kinetick End of Day (Free) connection within NinjaTrader and let me know if you can then receive Daily data for 700 days back successfully.

                    Is it possible to arrange real-time data feed for 15, 60 min from IB and EOD daily/weekly from Kinetick for the same instrument?

                      Hi maratrm,

                      That is possible - you would simply need to be sure to connect to Kinetick then to IB. This would ensure that all daily data comes from Kinetick while all other data requests are routed to IB.
