    Bad ticks

I have what looks like bad ticks at the close on Friday on all my charts. It started yesterday and they're still there today. I created a few new charts and they all have it too. Attached is a jpg of what it looks like. How do I get rid of them? Thanks.

    Hi JerryA,

    Thank you for your post.

Do you have in your Data Series window under Session template, 'Default 24/7' selected?

If you have please try Tools--> Historical Data manager--> Reload--> Reload All or right click in the Chart--> Reload All historical data.

Let me know if this corrects your issue.

        Hello JerryA,

Please delete your historical data using the instructions provided at the following page of the NinjaTrader Help Guide:
        Removing Historical Data

        • Once the data has been deleted close NinjaTrader. Open the Documents\NinjaTrader7\db\cache folder. Select all files then right mouse click and select “delete.”
        • Open NinjaTrader and connect to your data provider. Open an new chart.

Please let me know if this resolves your issue.

            JerryA,

Can you please clarify who you connect to for data?

Is the TF 06-11 the only contract with these bad ticks?

CQG for data. The TF, ES, Cl - all have bad ticks.

                JerryA,

I am not able to replicate this using these contracts and the CQG connection.

Can you clarify the date/time these ticks are plotted? From your first screen shot, it appears these ticks are from 6/18 which was Saturday.

If you set your session template to Default 24/5, do the bad ticks clear up?

Do you experience the same issue if you open a new chart without any indicators or templates applied?

Went away on the 24/5 chart. New charts for 24/7 still has bad ticks.

Seems to be receiving data even though the market isn't open yet - more bad ticks appearing.

                        JerryA,

Thanks for the updates. When using Default 24/7, I do see a few ticks coming through, but not entire bars like you are seeing.

Can you please check that at 6:00PM EST when the Globex session opens? Please let me know if you see further issues at this time.

The bad ticks are still there - do I need to reinstall? Thanks

                            JerryA,

                            Reinstalling shouldn't improve here.

I would suggest either using the Default 24/5 session template or manually editing/deleting the bad ticks from the historical data manager.

Please see the Help Guide article on Editing or Deleting data:

I did that and now it will load only until June 8. End date is current date. Something very wrong.
