    PFGBest Connection Problems

    Hi all,

    I am pretty frustrated. I would like to try out a demo account from PFGBest, but I am unable to get NT to connect to the API.

    Upon carefully following the instructions, I get this error immediately after File -> Connect -> PFGBest:

    Login failed: Cbi.Connection.ConnectNow: Failed to call IAdapter.Connect: Method not found: 'Void PFGTRADEAPI._PFGAPT.set_HostApplicationID(System.S tring)'.

    Please don't tell me to delete my account connection in NT and recreate it. I've already tried that. Here is what I have tried:

    1. Deleted the account connection I created for PFGBest.
    2. Re-created the account. No go.
    3. Rebooted the computer, Rebooted NT. No go.
    4. Did #1 and #2 again after the reboot. No go.
    5. Uninstalled the PFGBest API using Start -> Control Panel -> Add / Remove Programs.
    6. Re-downloaded the API from the NT instructions and re-installed.
    7. Redid #1 and #2. No go.
    8. Uninstalled the API. Re-installed the latest version of NT (7.0.1000.6). Reinstalled the API.
    9. Redid #1 and #2 for the fourth time. No go.

    The error message comes right away - NT does not appear to even try to connect to the PFGBest servers. It seems that NT cannot connect to the API.

    Suggestions?

    Hello Serac,

    Can you clarify the API version you are using? Are you using version 1.0.463

    I have noted that you have tried reinstalling NinjaTrader once, however I have worked with clients who needed to reinstall in a specific order to resolve this error.

    Please follow the directions below to resolve the error. Please note that the steps below will not impact your current connection, charts, workspaces, custom indicators or any other NinjaTrader settings.


    Please follow the steps listed below to repair and reinstall NinjaTrader:
    1. Close all running applications.
    2. Then from the Start menu select --> Control Panel --> Add and Remove Programs.
    3. From Add and Remove Programs select NinjaTrader 7 and click Remove.
    4. Then you will need to clear your internet browser cache and history. You will clear this from within your internet browser (with IE, Tools-->Options, delete cookies and files, clear history).
    5. Reboot your machine.
    6. Once these steps are completed, download NT7 from the link below:

    Please let us know if you are able to get up and running after the reinstall.
