    Work and home computers

    Hi-

    Wondering if when I live trade a trade that I put on my work computer will show up on my home computer and vice versa. I know I can only be logged into one computer at a time, which is fine. but I need my trades I create on one to show up when I log into the other system. Specfically, I need my trade, stops and take profits to transfer from one to the other.

    If these are open positions, it will depend on the brokerage technology you are using. You can read more about order location from the following thread:

    Historical trade data will not be synced from one PC to another. If you need to transfer your database from your work PC to your Home PC, you would need to create a backup and restore to the next PC.

      If I back up and restore my work computer to my home computer each week, will the restore wipe out all my trades on my home computer and replace the data with work computer info? Or will they both show up?

        Hello sesplin,

        Upon restoring the backup file, it will restore the database from your work computer which means all trades done on the home computer will be gone.

          does ninjatrader have plans to centralize the data for trades so no matter where I launch NT7 it will show my trade data? Seems like it should be very possible due to the fact that most data is kept at MB T.
