    error loading charts

    getting a connection error when I load charts. I go to FILE>NEW>CHART>CL 08-11 and when I hit ok i get the following message
    “Error on loading chart data for CL-08-11 Cme”: Ninjatrader data server does not support this instrument, no data available”

    how do i fix this??

    Thank you for your post.

    What happens if you reload all historical data? Right click in your chart -> Reload All Historical Data.

    It could be that you were requesting data during a server maintenance period.

    Please restart NinjaTrader and try again.

        - What version of NinjaTrader are you using? You can check under Help -> About

        - Who are you connected to? This is displayed by green on lower left corner of the Control Center window.

        Have you since restarted NinjaTrader and reconnected and tried creating a chart without any templates or indicators?

              Have you restarted NinjaTrader, reconnected and remade the chart?

              Are you running any Anti-Virus or Firewall security software at this time?

              If so, please temporarily disable this security software and restart NinjaTrader.

                i am running norton 360 i disabled it and still get the same error

                  The Log and Trace diagnostic files that will help me identify the issue.

                  Contact us via the built in email system within NinjaTrader Control Center -> Help -> Mail to Support -> Check the following before sending
                  • Log and trace files

                  Please put ATTN: Cameron in the subject line.

                    When I try to send the msg i get the following:

                    Failed to sent mail
                    An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions 64.36.21.160:25

                      In that case it does seem that something is blocking NinjaTrader, or the NinjaTrader servers.

                      Please see the following link to add all the IPs and ports to your firewall.

                        I not very technical regarding firewall can you instruct me how I add IPs and ports to a firewall please
