    identifiying stoplosses

    Hello,

    when doing entries for several contracts not in one order but each one with one entry and signal name I can then do the exits with signalnames to identify which exit.

    But how can this be done for stoplosses to see which stoploss was triggered. In the parameters there can only be defined the referring entry but no signal name.

    Is this true or can there be a signal name for stoplosses also?

    Thanks
    Tony

    tonynt,

    Yes, you can define a signal name for your stop losses. Please see the following available signature when using SetStopLoss()

    SetStopLoss(string fromEntrySignal, CalculationMode mode, double value, bool simulated)

      Hello;

      this is the syntax for exitlongs where you can see to define "signal name" and "fromEntrySignal"
      ExitLong() ExitLong(int quantity)
      ExitLong(string fromEntrySignal)
      ExitLong(string signalName, string fromEntrySignal)

      with

      "signalName" "User defined signal name identifying the order generated."

      The syntax for stoplosses is:
      SetStopLoss(double currency)
      SetStopLoss(double currency, bool simulated)
      SetStopLoss(CalculationMode mode, double value)
      SetStopLoss(string fromEntrySignal, CalculationMode mode, double value, bool simulated)

      Where is here the signalname? (I didn´t ask for the entrysignal)

      Best
      Tony

        Hello Tony,

        Thanks for the clarification. SetStopLoss will have StopLoss as the signal name. From there you can only link to the entry signal name.

        If you need to custom define a stop name, please use the Exit() methods for your stop losses.

        Please see ExitLong() as an example:

        Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.
