    Charts not displayed

    Hello,

    I have just upgraded to NT R 7.0.1000.6 and wanted to test some charts and not a single chart showed up. No matter, what I tried the charts stayed empty. Need definitely help on that!

    Hello Peter,

    Thank you for your post.

    Can you please tell me what data provider you are connected to within NinjaTrader. Also are you showing as connected in the lower left hand corner of the Control Center?

    I look forward to assisting you further with this issue.

      I am connected to Kinetick EOD and yes the connection is shown in the control window.

        Please reset your instruments with the steps I have provided below:
        • Disconnect
        • Tools
        • Options
        • Data tab
        • Reset Instruments
        • Restart NinjaTrader
        • Remove FBGS from your Default instrument list and add it back in
        • Reconnect
        • Open a new chart

        Please let me know if the issue persists after this procedure.

          Very strange thing happens:

          1.) Chart did not show up once again.
          2.) By changing the template to 24/7 the chart suddenly was displayed.
          3.) Tried to confirm 2.) but could not do that. Again no chart.

            To confirm with the Session Template set to "Default 24/7" you receive data or did you loose data again with the template applied?

              Even with the template 24/7 I did loose the chart again.

                Hello,

                Please use the steps I have provided below to delete your historical data:
                • Disconnect
                • Tools
                • Historical Data Manager
                • Edit tab
                • Select FGBS-->Right mouse click-->Delete
                • Close NinjaTrader
                • Documents
                • NinjaTrader 7
                • Open the db folder
                • Open the cache folder
                • Select all files-->Right mouse click-->Delete
                • Open NinjaTrader
                • Connect
                • Open a new chart

                  Everything done, but again not working. I see this is getting more and more complicated and frustrating.

                  How can it be that an update does produce this kind of problems!??????

                  Christopher, before, I had a working enviroment with NT 7.0.1000.5. I would like to go back to this version. Can I download R5 once again.

                    If you are using any real time mirroring or backup software please ensure the NinjaTrader 7 MyDocuments folder is not backed up real time. Also please add any exclusions to your security software for NinjaTrader 7 from blocking or scanning.

                    If the issue persists you may uninstall NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.6 within your Window Control Panel and install 7.0.1000.5 at the link I have provided below.

                      Thanks for your support but I went back to version 5 and gladly it works again.

                      Still I would like to understand, where this troubles come from. Seems to be something serious...

                      P.S.: What you found in the trace file is for sure not the reason for this kind of problem.

                        This error indicates it the issue may be caused by security or backup software you currently have running on your PC.
