NT with IB connection for Tokyo Stocks

I am trying to chart stocks listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. I have created the instruments with the appropriate symbols. Exchanges selected are TSE and Default. JPY currency and 1 min tick size.

Error attached. 4578 is the stock in this case.

Help would be appreciated.

Thank you for your post.

Within the Instrument editor can you please go to the Misc tab and set the mapping for Interactive Brokers to 4578|SMART then click Ok and add 4578 to your Default instrument list.

Please let me know if you then receive data successfully within the Orders tab of the Control Center.

Thanks for your reply. That worked for 4578. Did you do something on your end specifically related to that stock?
I tried the same with 8303 and 8304 but it doesn't work. I have an instrument list of around 2500 Tokyo stocks that I would like to have working.

There is nothing we can do on our end regarding these stocks. There interaction is strictly between your installation of NinjaTrader and Interactive Brokers.

Do you know if you're getting real-time data in TWS for these instruments that are still not working? Please open these up in TWS and confirm if it is real-time prices or it says 'delayed' data. If these are delayed, you will not receive any data to NinjaTrader.

If you have multiple symbols that need to be configured, you can also import a list of stocks and assign an exchange to the entire list, rather than reconfiguring each instrument one a time.

Hey Matthew,

All of these stocks are giving me realtime prices in TWS.
I have already imported the symbol list into NT.
The only japanese stock that provides me a price in NT is 4578. Adding the SMART suffix to the symbol works but this doesn't seem to work for other Tókyo stocks. Stocks from the same exchange, why should one work and another won't?

Can you please confirm you have both the TSE and Default Exchanges enabled within the instrument settings.

I am following the advice on this thread and I have Tokyo stocks working on charts BUT the charts do not update unless I reload all data. What can I do to fix it, thanks. I am running NT 7 - 1000 - 8 and using IB TWS latest version (please dont tell me to go back to an old obsolete version! , but if I really have to ...).

Please tell me what specific instrument you are attempting to view so I may attempt to test on my end.

I only tried Toyota (7203). I don't expect it would be different for any other TSE stock (why would it?).
