Reset Instruments

I accidentally deleted an instrument from the instrument list. I assume I can get it back by "Reset Instruments," correct? If so, will that delete the drawings I have on my current charts?

I use Zen-fire so I rely on NT's historical database for historical price information. Is there a list of instruments kept in this historical database (or are they all listed in instrument manager list) ?

Thank you for your post.

Yes you can receive any accidentally deleted instruments by resetting the master instrument list.

To reset your instruments please: go to the Tools menu, select the Options menu item, select the Data tab, and then click on 'Reset Instruments'.


Once the reset is complete, restart NinjaTrader.

This will not affect any chart drawings you currently have.

Regarding Zen-Fire, the historical data stored is for most Futures instruments.
If you are using an instrument that is not being stored by us, let us know. You can also use Kinetick to supplement any historical data.

Are all of the futures instruments that do have historical data listed in the instrument manager by default? If not, can you tell me which ones aren't?

Not all the futures instruments in the instrument list have historical data.

Unfortunately we do not have a list of the instruments that are not being recorded for historical data.

Which instruments do you have in mind?

I know not all futures have historical data, I'm wondering if you knew about any instruments that have historical data that aren't listed in the default instrument manager list. Looking for as many as new instruments to trade.

Do we have historical data on:

6Z, PLN, KRW, HUF, 6L, TRY, RME (forex futures traded on CME globex)

Unfortunately there is no Historical Data on our servers for those specific instruments.
