    Interactive Brokers Connection

    My issue is the IB software disconnects right after connecting here are the steps:
    1) Start NT
    2) Start connection to interactive broker
    3) Configuration set for AutoLogon
    4) Starts up IB workstation, logs in
    5) Workstation shows for a second then disconnects and does retry
    6) Does this 3 times then I get message that TWS timed out.

    I then set NT to not do AutoLogon
    I manually started IB workstation
    I then started NT and selected to connect to IB
    It still trys to auto login, but note the IB Workstation stays on
    NT states it can't login because IB is already running.
    Help????

    Thank you for your post.

    What version of TWS are you using? You can check under TWS -> Help -> About

    With the current version of NinjaTrader V7.0.1000.6, it is critical that you use TWS version 917.

    Please uninstall your existing version via the Windows Control Panel, and then install 917 via the following link:

    http://www.ninjatrader.com/ninjatrader/TWS/tws40_install_917_8.exe

    Once TWS 917 has been installed, please ensure that the configuration in our Connection Guide for TWS has been completed.

      OK uninstalled IB TWS
      Did your linked new Install
      Rebooted system
      Note when I do connect to IB via NT It does a connection
      I get a new message No connection could be made because target machine
      refused 127.0.0.1.7496 Which is odd for IP addr???

          There was a setting not enabled in TWS.
          So Now I see market data and when I try and enable my Strategy it disappears???
          It has been running flawlessly with Market Replay

            Hello bbucha_stk ,

            Was this a custom strategy you developed or a strategy you had purchased from a vendor?

            Are you enabling the strategy from the chart or from the Strategies tab of the control center?

            Are you receiving any errors on screen or errors from the log tab of the control center? If so what do these errors report?

              1) It is my strategy
              2) I click $ on Chart
              3) I enable Strategy on Strategy tab on main screen
              4) The Market data is painting
              5) Hmmm Log file states "Requested market data is not subscribed 354
              6)They IB had said I was subscribed???

                What symbol is this?

                If you load the symbol in TWS, do you get real-time data or does it report "Delayed" data? If it delayed in TWS, it will not come through to NinjaTrader.

                Can you please try running your strategy on a symbol you're sure you are subscribed through TWS?

                  I will try that but like I said the data is coming into my charts. I just cant enable the strategy ?

                      Same error in log and strategy disappears, I will contact them

                        I am trying to do the 6E euro futures which I have a subscription on GLOBEX thru IB.
                        They are saying maybe NT is trying to request via maybe CME for example.
                        They have pushed it back in your court

                          Hello,

                          Please go to Tools--> Instrument Manager--> locate the 6E Instrument and select "Edit".

                          From the Instrument Editor, please unselect "CME" or any other exchange and make sure that you have only selected "Globex"

                          Next, click on the "Misc" tab--> scroll down the the Symbol Map section and ensure that the interactiveBrokers row says "EUR" (without quotes).

                          After making these changes, please press OK and then remove and readd the 6E 09-11 from your default instrument, ensuring you have selected "Globex" from the exchange drop down menu.

                          Please let me know if you need further assistance.

                              OK so symptoms have changed...Now my workplace chart does not print on the chart.
                              I tried market replay as well and it does not update workplace chart as well.
                              IB connects now, strategy does not close out but the chart / indicators does not paint???
