Continuous crashes...

I am backtesting a strategy over a few month period and am gettibng about 90 % of the way through the hour long backtest before ninjatrader crashes consistently and without fail. I'm not even sure where to start at this point, is there a link or some basic info i could review to attempt to fix this problem.

Edit: forgot to mention, using Kinetick as my datafeed.

Hi Andrew,

I would try to backtest using our SampleMACrossOver strategy. This is a basic strategy that should provide results and should not crash as long as you have data.

That will help isolate if the issues are caused by how your strategy is coded. If NinjaTrader crashes, we can also review your trace file for the specific messages reported. Please send your most recent trace file to support 'at' ninjatrader 'dot' com, attn: RyanM and reference this thread.


You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

* The trace file will be named ‘trace.YYYYMMDD.txt’
