Loading Charts Freezes and Abort button does not work

I load about 10 charts at the same time (loading 1 day on each) for intraday tick charts.

The problem I have is that everytime I open the workspace it hangs loading the charts on one instrument.

The problem is that the Abort button does not work and I end up having to press CTR-ALT-DEL, click End Now, and then click Cancel, in order for Ninjatrader to unfreeze and continue to loading.

can you advise any tips to avoid this freezing and to make the Abort button work?

Hi Pedro,

Thanks for writing in.

It's very likely that the reason that the Abort button isn't working is because NinjaTrader is trying to load the other data - all of these commands do take some time to process, as you'd imagine.

Would it be possible for you to break this data request up in to smaller chunks by either splitting the one workpspace in to a few workspaces or by opening some charts manually after loading the first set? We tend to see better results when data requests are sent in smaller bits.
