    Configuration in the instrument editor.

When a new instrument is added in the instrument editor, and the name of the instrument coincide with an existing one, the old one is silently deleted.

Instruments in different exchanges may have the same ticker name.

The new Master Instrument should not silently delete the old one, it can either accept both or insist on a different unique name.

    Please fix ASAP

    Kind regards.

    Hi HKinani,

Can you walk me through the specific steps you're taking when this occurs, please? Once I'm able to replicate the issue, I'll follow up with development to see what we can do to correct it.

      Hi Kyle,

In the instrument editor, just add a new insrument using an existing name for the new Master Instrument say "IBM" with any random options. The addition will overwrite the exisiting instrument... without a warning...

      Thanks for the quick response.

        Hi HKinani,

Thanks for clarifying - I'll forward the suggestion that we add a warning box when this happens on to development for further consideration.

In the meantime, please be sure to search for a symbol before adding a new one to avoid this behavior.
