Order Rejected

Hi,

I had an open position with a strategy. When the position had to be closed the order has been partially filled and the remaining shares were rejected. When rejected, the system directly shuts off and the remaining position stays open.

THe message received is: "Strategy 'GB/1a17029fac494065a66c956d4f9b59c1' submitted an order that generated the following error 'OrderRejected'. Strategy has sent cancel requests, attempted to close the position and terminated itself."

How to avoid the system to terminate when the order has been rejected?

guillembm, this would be the default behavior for NS strategies with the default realtime error handling (Order rejected resulting in strategy termination), you can change this however in your code providing you monitor closely and take actions if neccessary :

When TakeNoAction is on:
- If I have an exit position that is rejected, marketposition will appear as flat?
- How can I terminate a strategy myself from code?

You can call Disable() in your strategy - http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...t7/disable.htm

I don't follow on your marketposition comment, do you mean if the strategy position would report as flat eventhough the exit got rejected?

THat's exactly what I mean.

With TakeNoAction, the market position would be unchanged, the strategy would not attempt any closing of it if the exit order was rejected.
