IB Commodity type CMDTY

Hi

IB has just introduces bullion data referenced by CMDTY

the symbols are gold XAUUSD Silver XAGUSD

When I enter these into ninja I see no data.

Has CMDTY been added to the type list yet?

Unfortunately the XAUUSD and XAGUSD are not supported with NinjaTrader and Interactive Brokers. Please see the forum thread below regarding this topic.

Will this be solved quickly ? Can't you just make a patch for the mapping ? XAUUSD have different exchanges possibilities.

Unfortunately, I do not have an ETA when the XAUUSD and XAGUSD will be supported with Interactive Brokers.

Thank you for your reply.

Commodity instruments are not currently supported for NinjaTrader 7 with Interactive Brokers. However, with NinjaTrader 8, revision 17 we completed some custom mapping on the back end to allow XAUUSD & XAGUSD. To access them you would use the existing CFD instrument in NinjaTrader 8. There are no plans that I am aware of for these to be added in NinjaTrader 7 as it is no longer in active development.
