    Thinner Candlestick bar

    Hi,

Reading chart is an important basic requirement, any good software shud have this function fully and CONVENIENTLY available.

NT has its strong pts, however, now when viewing slightly longer datastream on charts, using the "drag& slide" method at the axis, tend to squeeze the bars together, making it an eyesore and unuseable.

Wonder NT has plan to right this issue ? A firm future commitment?

    Thanks.

      Hello ngvita,

You must click and hold your left mouse buttton below the X-axis, since only then price bars will horizontally (de)compress when moving left or right.

If you click and hold the chart above the X-axis, the chart will be dragged as you expect. More information can be found at the link below.

Candle bar width - too thick to accomodate wider data range

        Hi,

Yes, I do know and do click & drag below the x axis. The candle bars start decompressing.
But soon u will find they start to appear packed/overlapped and not useable.

I also check that the minimum bar width of 1 is still too big to accomodate a reasonable wider range of data points on one viewing screen without much scrolling. I believe this ability to accomodate a good range is important to anyone reading charts and a good charting package should place importance in this aspect.

What I have found in other software is if a good range is selected, the candle bars will start to appear closer to hairline width, though losing out on some color visibility/differentiation, we can catch a fairly good view of the overall shape or pattern of price action on chart on a wider data range.

This is important and the effects and visualisation we get cannot be arrived by viewing either in

        1) higher/bigger timeframe
        2) portion by portion while retaining same timeframe granularity. (doing TA in this manner is difficult)

        Hope to get understanding pls.

        Thanks.
