NT and MBT datafeed delay

Hello,

I use NT (current version) and datafeed from MBT for Forex.

Sometimes just after market news I notice delays in my NT charts ( from several seconds until 2-3 minutes).
And usually, after some minutes of delayed data everything in OK again .

At the same time I receive current market quotes via MT4 from another datafeed provider so it is not any Internet connection problem.

My question here:
What could be the source of those delays:
- NT ? ( Is it possible that during market news NT is not able to process all the data ?)
- problems in MBT with datafeed during market news ?
- my computer limitations ? ( during those events my computer works on almost 100% CPU, but there is still free RAM available ).

Hello Rem77,

During high volatility (news), NinjaTrader receives much more ticks to process than usual. If you have indicators applied with 'Calculate on bar close' set to False, each indicator will be calculated on each incoming tick. If the indicators use 'heavy' calculations, it can slow down or make NinjaTrader unresponsive when NinjaTrader receives many ticks. Can you please check if setting 'Calculate on bar close' to True will make any difference.

OK. I set all charts according to your guidance ( although it was almost optimal before) and made some minor improvements in NT settings.
