    NinjaTrader TOTALLY Not Connecting

    Hello Ninjas,

    I desperately need your assistance.

    NT7.0 Won't connect to IB. It keeps on bringing up the TWS logon box and when I log on it logs me off and brings up the TWS logon box again. Even if I uncheck 'logon at startup' it still keeps on bringing up IB's TWS logon box. This is preventing me from trading as I write this , please, please help.

      Even when TWS is up (before NT7.0 kills the logon box) there is no connection.

      Is there a number I can call?

        Hello Carlton,

        Thank you for your post.

        Unfortunately we do not have an inbound phone number available.

        What version of TWS are you using? You can check under TWS -> Help -> About -> Scroll to the Build #

        TWS 918 has an identified issue which does not allow NinjaTrader to connect.
        With the current version of NinjaTrader, it is critical that you use TWS version 917. Please uninstall your existing version via the Windows Control Panel, and then install 917 via the following link:


        Once TWS 917 has been installed, please ensure that the configuration in our Connection Guide for TWS has been completed.

        The following link will take you to a page that details the steps required for creating a connection to Interactive Brokers and specific connection configuration information.

          Hi Chris,

          Really appreciate the quick response. I did upgrade to 918. I will downgrade to 917. In the meantime, will NT7 work with the web based version of TWS, which is currently 919?

            Unfortunately we only support 917 at this time and we have not tested 919. TWS versions are constantly changing and we only support versions we are able to fully test and unfortuantely will not be able to keep up with TWS constant changes.
