Running the latest version w simulation license and having log in problem. Appreciate any assistance.

Thank you for your post.

Please use the steps I have provided below to remove, repair and recreate your connection within NinjaTrader.

• Please go to the Tools menu--> select Account Connections--> highlight the connection--> click Remove
• Tools-->Options-->Data tab-->Repair DB
• Restart NinjaTrader
• Please go to the Tools menu--> select Account Connections and recreate the account connection.

I'm struggling with this one. I've followed your directions twice.

The first time I repaired the database and restarted NinjaTrader, I could not create an account connection for TD Ameritrade -- the drop down for the Provider's list in the "Connection Options" wizard only listed about 6 options (Google, Yahoo, ESignal...).

I then reset the DB (this is a fresh installation anyway, but I had been playing around with data steams from Google). Restarted NT and the Provider's list now listed 20ish providers - including TD Ameritrade. I created the connection and the connection failed: "Unable to login(LoginFailed)".

So, next I repaired the DB, restarted NT and tried it again. Same problem, "LoginFailed".

I seem to have a different problem...

I should note that I'm a Thinkorswim trader. My account was merged with TD Ameritrade a few weeks ago. I can log in successfully on TD Ameritrade's website using my account which was originally created with Thinkorswim. This same account does not work through NT.

Any ideas?

I am also having the same problem. I sent TDA an email and I am waiting for the response. Perhaps you can add it to the instructions for TDA connection guide.

I am having the same issue. I'm in the group of people who were merged into TD Ameritrade from TOS. I contacted TD Ameritrade customer service and am waiting a response to enable the API.

I will have to push back on them as I've been a TOS user for the last 4 years. Since TD Ameritrade acquired TOS I would expect them to honor the API arrangement.

NT - Has TD Ameritrade communicated this to you?

I see that you are enabled for futures. I am unable to grant you API access unless you do not plan on trading futures in your account. Please let us know.

Then I called them and see if it's possible to have API access if I didn't trade futures, they told me no since I am a new customer. I ended up opening another account somewhere else. MB Trading. I still plan on using TOS for charts. I love prophet chart.

I am having an issue with being able to connect. I sent TDA a message to see if they could do anything on their end. They said having an account with them was sufficient. Is there something I need to do since I am new Ninja Trader.

Hi cfree5119,

TDA offers a few different account types. An 'orange' account is required in order to use their service with NinjaTrader. You'll want to follow up with TDA to ensure that your account is indeed an 'orange' account and not a 'green' account.
