    Corn, Soybean Oil, Sugar - wrong charts

    Hello!
    I have an urgent question about several charts in NinjaTrader. I want to trade Corn, Soybean Oil, Sugar 11 etc. but when I click to Open the daily chart of Sugar (March12) there's only blank screen. And dealing with Corn and Soybean Oil, there are bugs and inconsistencies in the daily charts of these two commodities... as you can see in the attached screenshot.
    I compared the charts with the ones on www.barchart.com which I consider correct and I'd like the charts in NT to look exactly the same as on Barchart.
    My data provider is CQG.
    I think the possible problem might be in the 'session template' because recently I was dealing with a similar problem with the chart of Gold... and I fixed it by choosing the template 24/5... but it's logical (due to the 24h trading session) in contrast to the 3 charts just mentioned.
    Could you please tell me waht to do with it?

    And then I have another question about the simulation mode in NT. I set the Real mode as default one but when I start up NT the default mde is still the simulation. And the same happens when opening a new chart trader. What should I do in order that the Real mode is default when starting NT?

    Thank you for your post.

    Could you check to ensure that SB is set to Default 24/5 or Default 24/7?

    Right click in your chart -> Data Series
    Select SB and set the Session Template field to "Default 24/7"

        Unfortunately I'm unable to recreate your issue on my end.

        Can you tell me the following:

        - What version of NinjaTrader are you using? You can check under Help -> About, this will look like 7.0.1000.x

                Hello David,

                We would need to check with Cameron for sure, however this was likley resolved by resetting your instruments.

                To reset your instruments please: go to the Tools menu, select the Options menu item, select the Data tab, and then click on 'Reset Instruments'.


                Then restart NinjaTrader and test again.


                If that does not do the trick, please respond to this thread and Cameron will be in tomorrow morning to respond.

                    - What chart interval is selected? (e.g. 5min, 4 range, etc.)

                    - Is there an error message listed in the Log tab of the Control Center? If errors are found, please report.

                      NT 7.0.1000.7
                      TWS 917.5

                      Windows 7 Pro (64 bit)

                      Chart interval: 1,3,5,10 minutes, daily, still no plots

                      SuperDOM no feed
                      Log says: requested market data not subscribed. 354 but I don't know if that is for the SB or not. I get other NYBOT and NYMEX contracts sooooo I still don't know why sugar doesn't work.

                        I checked my SB contract in the Instrument Manager and found the InteractiveBrokers symbol to be corrupted. I typed in SB for the mapping and it now works fine.
                        P.S. I have found other IB symbols to be corrupted in the past.

                          Please see flyguy767's post.

                          First enter the SB symbol in TWS.

                          Confirm that you are receiving live data in TWS.

                          Then in from the NinjaTrader Control Center -> Tools -> Instrument Manager -> search for SB
                          Select SB and press 'Edit' -> Misc tab -> Scroll to the Symbol Mapping section -> in the Interactive Brokers field -> Enter the same SB symbol from TWS.
                          Press 'OK' on both the Instrument Editor and Instrument Manager.

                            I have the live data in TWS, I changed the NT symbol from SB|||1 to SB. Still no joy. AND THEN I reconnected to the data feed and BINGO! YAY!! It works!
