Simple price alerts

Hi,
I am a newbie to NT and very excited by the possibilities.

Sorry if the subject was mention before, I could not find it.

I am looking for a very simple price alert, one that will set an alarm once an instrument goes past a particular price.
Is it possible to set price alerts on one particular instrument at the time?

- you could custom code e.g. indicator by NinjaScript using the Alert method.

Can anyone explain how do you use the "Price Alert" indicator?

I could not find any documentation on it.

The Price Alert indicator is just an indicator that creates an alert when a specified price level is reached. When you load the indicator onto a chart you can define what price level you want to watch. When the price reaches that level it will fire off an alert that will also play a sound file.

If I understand correctly this alert is connected to the physical chart and not to the security, so if I change the security on the chart the elevenths of the alert is lost, is this assumption correct?

Correct, tied to the Chart. Not sure what you mean by elevenths.

The alert should still be valid for the price it is set for.
