Velocity future no historical data

HI I have problem with NT and velocity future data source.
I am using Velocity Future demo account and NINJA trader version 6.5 and NT version 7, but I am not able to load any historical data. I tried to compact, repear database in NT but to result..The connection to VELOCITY is established successfully..I was conntacting VELOCITY ONLINE SUPPORT and they said, that this is NT issue..

Hello Lejczek,

Velocity Futures uses the Trading Technology broker technology. Unfortunately, historical data with Trading Technology is not supported anymore. Please see the advisory at the link below.

So if I have a paid license for NinjaTrader, would I have historical data for all of the futures products that Velocity Futures provides?

Typically no historical data of any kind would be available.

That said, there are some TT based users who will have access to historical data as they had opened their license prior to this service being disabled. Those users would have access to each instrument recorded on the historical data servers, but not all instruments which Velocity offers. Unfortunately, no full list of recorded instruments exists - the only way to know whether data is available for an instrument is to test.

Not necessarily - you could, in this type of instance, make use of a secondary data provider to supplement the Velocity account with historical data. If that's something you're interested in, you'll want to check in with BarChart, eSignal, IQ Feed and Kinetick.

Okay. But that increases my costs. If I do use a secondary data provider, do I connect to my broker first and then the data provider or do I do the opposite or does it matter? I want the best data source to be primary. Can I get free backfill data from Kinetick without a real-time subscription?

Connection order would be as you outlined.

Free daily data is available through Kinetick's EOD connection, but no intraday data is available.

Hi richwaters,

That would be what I would suggest here. This will ensure that real-time data is coming through the Velocity connection while still granting you access to the historical data from the secondary provider.
