Multi accounts with Interactive Brokers

Is it possible to have multiple IB accounts connected at the same time with NinjaTrader and the signals directed to all the different TWS from a single instance of Ninja Trader (from a technical and licensing standpoint)?

If not, what would be required?

Hello zerosum666,

A NinjaTrader license is good for one instance running at a time-- no concurrent access.

IB is one of the few that allow multiple connections at the same time within NinjaTrader. For this, you have to provide unique port values, manually start TWS, and match the settings under Configure > API Settings > Socket Port with the port settings defined the connection for IB.

Besides the Client ID, should I use different ports for each TWS instance too?

Yes, actually the ports need to be unique, and the client ID should remain at 0 for all connections.Sorry for the incorrect information in first post. I have corrected this.

This configuration requires manually starting TWS each time, and providing a port value in their platform (Configure > API Settings > Socket Port) that also matches the port in the connection setup within NinjaTrader.
