    CQG data

    Charts are not loading correctly. I reloaded data several times and get an error message "Error on loading chart.... Connection to data server is busy or not available right now...." Tried several times, same message. Any ideas? Thanks

    Jerry,

    Can you please do a restart of NinjaTrader which will refresh your connection to the NinjaTrader historical data servers and let me know if you are still get this error.

    I look forward to assisting you further.

      Here's a shot of a 15 tick linebreak chart on the CL. It doesn't look right. The tick chart looks the same. Can you test on your system please. Thanks.

        Hello,

        This is correct for this contract. However issue is most likely you need to roll over to the 12-11 which is the current contract. The 10-11 is thinly or no longer traded.

            I'm still missing data on the chart - I've attached a jpg. Prior days are fine - just today. I reloaded but continue to get an error message about the CQG server.

              Jerry, can you please share what exact error message you would get here on reloading? Same as in your first post? Are you on the most current NT7 R7 release here? A check could be done under Help > About.

                    Hello,

                    The market did actually fall like this overnight.

                    What session template are you using on this chart (Right click->data series)? If it includes overnight data in this case would be expected. Since there are not very many trades overnight the tick requirement of 59 may not be satisfied to allow creation of new bar.

                      Brett: I see a couple of things here, the data on CL on my charts does not include the ranges shown on this chart, more like $81 - $77. Also if he sets the chart data series at 24/7 he may find the error corrects. Also I am in a chat room where CQG errors are reported from time to time. Also the internet connection may not be as reliable as required, to run tick data.

                        Closed the program and just reopened. Now the chart looks like the attached jpg and yesterday's chart now looks normal. There's something screwy going on here and I wish someone would take a serious look at it. Thanks

                              Jerry: My post was sent so you could confirm the data points and values, if that is what you were wondering about. As you can see CQG data is a little different, so perhaps a server was reloading, , overnight reset, transmission issue ?? etc
