Trade server socket error code: 10053

Hello,

I just installed NT 7.0.1000.7 and trying to connect to PFG demo server but I got this error: Trade server socket error code: 10053, could you please help fix this problem?

Thank you for your post.

Please repair your connection using the following steps:

• Please go to the Tools menu--> select Account Connections--> highlight the connection--> click Remove
• Shut down NinjaTrader
• Reinstall the PFG Client API - (the current supported version for NT V7.0.1000.7 is PFG Client Version 1.0.471 and can be downloaded from the PFG Connection guide)
• After reinstalling the correct PFG API version, please restart NinjaTrader and go to the Tools menu--> select Account Connections and recreate the account connection.

In order for me to help determine why this is occurring, I will need to review your log and trace files from the last date that this occurred.

Please send an email to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com and include your most recent log and trace files, Attn: Matthew in the Subject line and a reference to this thread.

You will find the log file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.

• The log file will be named ‘log.20111002.txt’

You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

• The trace file will be named ‘trace.20111002.txt’

Please attach both of these files to your next response. If these files are over 4MB, please let me know and I can respond with alternative instructions.

The most recent diagnostic files have repeated instances of the following message:

Invalid Login. Please contact customer service.

319-553-2172.'

There appears to be an issues with your login credentials Have you tried contacting PFG regarding this error?

Same issue (Connecting to PFG)

Hi,

I just wondered if there was any standard fix for this issue i.e. "Login Failed: Socket Error Code: 10053" or what would cause this error.

I periodically get this issue every 6 weeks or so for the past two years and as yet neither Ninja or PFG tech staff have a conclusive answer to why this happens? It usually takes me 2-3 days of uninstalling/reinstalling all Ninja programs/PFG API. Reparing the database. Setting up a new PFG account (I now have 8). Re-set my internet modem.

It usually happens when I try to connect on a weekend.

I am running a free version of ninja and free forex feed from PFG.

Just for the record I've tried every single fix imaginable over the past two years so am looking for the route of the issue so I can attempt to permanently resolve if possible.

Hi Kyle,

Thanks - I've sent the log/trace fills to the support email. I've done that before but without any luck resolving. There seems to be some error/corruption in my PFG login periodically for some reason. Whether its a wireless net problem, IP issue, PFG server issue I just don't know.

Any help would be eternally appreciated.
