    NT data download

When connected to a data feed, how does one download historical tick data?

    Sledmt,

I am happy to assist you.

Who is your data provider? Some data providers don't offer historical data.

I have not purchased the data feed yet, but I'm looking at buying a monthly plan at kinetick.

        Hello sledmt,

The data should be downloaded automatically when you are connected to a data provider and open a chart.

I would suggest testing with the Kinetick End of Day Free connection..

The Free EOD Kinetick connection is preloaded in to NinjaTrader 7 automatically.

You can connect to it by going in NinjaTrader to > File > Connect > Kinetick - End of Day (free).

This connection will give you access to historical Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Yearly data.

        Connection steps also at: https://www.kinetick.com/support#Connect

Please note that the EOD connection provides access to historical daily data only, allowing you to access Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Yearly data.

Thanks for information. In the past I used NT 6.5 for downloading tick data. I was planning on downloading new tick data from kinetick if that was possilbe.

I was looking at tickdata on kinetick. I believe that the bid/ask tick data goes back 120 days from the current day. Is that right? Also, when one signs up for a subscription with kinetick, can I then download any day back 120 days from the moment I signed up?

                sledmt,

Yes, you can access up to 120 days of historical bid/ask tick data.

You can download 120 days at the point you signed up, however you will not continue to receive access from the moment you signed up. There is 120 days guaranteed at any point regardless of your subscription time.

somewhat off topic, but what are the hardware requirements for NT 7?
