Restore error CRC mismatch

Hi There

I am trying to restore a NT7 backup to a new box and I am getting the following error:-

NinjaTrader was unable to restore the selected backup archive file: CRC mismatch

any idea what that is?

GKonheiser, can you try moving the file again fresh to the VPS / new box? Normally that error points to a corrupted file (CRC stands for Cyclical Redundancy Check = content integrity check basically).

Now I am getting the error:-

GKonheiser, there still seems to be a corruption in the file present - have you tried creating a complete fresh backup file on the originating machine already? Please also ensure any security software being run on this machine is giving NT7 exclusive rights to work in the NinjaTrader Backup folder found under Documents.

Hi There

I re-installed NT7 as I think there may be a problem there. However when I then try to lunch using the NT7 Icon not the NT7 64 Bit, I get the error "unable to connect to database source=.....

If I am running 64Bit Windows shroud I just use the NT 64Bit version?
