Time zone issue with Volume Profile

    Hello,

I am using RD/Acme packs (ranchodinero.com), and I have time zone issue with split volume profiles. If I set on my PC for example GMT, it works well,
    (GMT) - http://screencast.com/t/bb08obJGN

but if I set on GMT+1 (CET), which is Time zone in which I am. It goes completely wrong…
    (Issue, GMT+1) - http://screencast.com/t/DMbBKsgynv

Of course session templates are set correctly.

We had a chat with El Duque from ranchodinero.com about this issue last week and the problem was isolated almost certainly as Ninjatrader bug.

    I hope you’ll know better what I mean…

Sorry for my English, I am just Czech student…

    Regards,
    Jansocz

    Hello jansocz,

    Thanks for posting.

To clarify, are the chart bars themselves off when the timezone is changed or is this something effecting only the indicator?

Chart bars are the same, except different time stamps, I also delete historical data for each instrument everytime when I switch between Time zones.

So, yes this is effecting only split Volume profiles.
If I set CME US Index Futures ETH template for Fx futures(6E, etc) in Data series (Default session template in Instrument Manager is always set RTH), it works a little better, but also bad. Except different session times between CME US Index Futures ETH and CME FX Futures ETH there is one big profile for Sunday-Monday sessions drawn in tuesday globex session profile…

(US Index template ETH for Fx) - http://screencast.com/t/6s3Pw6t0xY

No doubt, there is something fishy happening on the sessions in my timezone for sure.

      I hope you understand,
      Jansocz

        Thanks for clarifying.

In this case there is something specific with the indicator that I would need to work out directly with the indicator developer.

Please contact the indicator developer as I believe you already have and let him know to contact Brett Barrett if he needs assistance debugging this issue. I would need to work directly with the indicator developer in this case.

Furthermore the developer there has my personal contact so he will be able to contact me.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
