    Would could be causing this?

    US markets opened at 12:00 am local time and I have been getting these connection errors since. I have been connected since lunch time with no problems until US open.

    Suggestions?

    Hello Treggs,

    I have been on a Zen-Fire account since the open and have not had any disconnects. There is likley a local connectivity issue which is preventing this connection from staying connected. If you have not, I would suggest restarting your PC as well as any network hardware such as a modem or router.

    Common reasons that contribute to connection stability are:
    • ISP issues
    • Hardware firewall changing IP addresses frequently
    • Dynamic IP addresses changing frequently intraday. Usually this happens once a week buy you may want to check with your ISP. If they do change daily, requesting a static IP address may help.
    • With Windows XP SP2, if you have more than 10 open TCPIP socket connections (10 programs making socket connections through the internet) Windows will randomly shut down some connections
    • Broker/market data servers may be experiencing temporary downtime

      Hi Matthew, I know the first 4 items in your list are fine and I didn't bother to ring Mirus as it was almost bed time here in Australia. Did you get any other reports of connection issue just after the US session open?

      It's been a while since I have traded the US session so I don't know if this problem will come back tonight. NT is currently connected no problem at the moment and based on last night's issues I'm not expecting anything to go wrong before US open.
